PANEER BUTTER MASALA
Paneer Butter Masala is one of the most popular and famous Punjabi paneer recipes. It is another name of paneer butter masala. Here is an easy recipe for restaurant style paneer butter masala at home.
This recipe is a perfect combination of spiciness and creaminess. This gravy is made of tomatoes with authentic Indian spices.To make gravy smooth and creamy, cream and cashew nut paste added. This is flavoured with kasoori methi or dry fenugreek leaves.
The ripped tomato should be used for this dish. Kashmiri red chilli powder that is less spicy and good in colour, also used to gives a nice colour to the dish. Honey is optional if you don’t want to use you can avoid it but I used here it gives a slightly sweet taste as well as helps in colour. Honey can be replaced with sugar but honey is healthier than sugar. Don’t over any spices because every spice has its own speciality and every spice or herb should come out with its own flavour and taste. Should use the sweet ripped tomatoes for this recipe if your tomatoes are sour you can adjust or balance it with honey or sugar. You can adjust the quantity of sweetness according to your tomatoes. Everything should be balanced according to the recipe or to the taste.
Paneer is very nutritional. Its a good source of protein and energy. Paneer is a Hindi name of cottage cheese. It will be in every dinner meal of any function or party in India.
This is a very versatile dish. It goes very well with naan, chapati, lachha paratha, steamed rice, jeera rice, ghee rice, tandoori roti and many more. It tastes so yummy. This is one of my favourite panner main course dish that I usually order in a restaurant.
